• Fix: pasting a block no longer drops it on top of an existing entry — the pasted block is automatically shifted past any block it would overlap, respecting the minimum gap
• Fix: short blocks are no longer auto-extended on drag when norms are active. Duration auto-correction is now reserved for AutoFit
• Fix: with norms disabled, blocks can again be shrunk down to a single frame; the profile's minimum no longer applies in this mode

• Cinema preset now uses softened 210 white for gentler projection rendering

Video playback

• "Show subtitles on video" toggle in the View menu — reactive on main and detached video windows
• Fix: timeline cursor no longer stuck inside a loop region after seeking past it

Overlay export

• New HEVC with alpha codec — lighter alternative to ProRes 4444 for compositing

File menu

Text entry

• Fix: Arabic text fields no longer flip to left-to-right when a search highlight is applied

DCP Interop export

• New "Line spacing" field in the DCP export dialog — percentage control for aerating multi-line subtitles when projection enlarges the image
• Automatic detection of the font actually rendered, including CoreText substitutions for unsupported scripts (e.g. Arabic on SF Pro → SF Arabic Rounded)
• Automatic extraction of TrueType Collection (.ttc) fonts to single-face TTF — required for Geeza Pro and other macOS system fonts
• Fix: vertical line-spacing math redone from DCP point coordinates — lines no longer overlap on two- or three-line subtitles
• Fix: removed Direction="RTL" attribute (non-compliant with Interop spec) — RTL scripts now render via Unicode bidi engine
• Fix: Teletext-row vertical positioning no longer overrides margins set in the export dialog

Timeline

• Fix: with Norms lock enabled and AutoFit disabled, blocks already below the CPS threshold can now be resized freely

Video export

• New ProRes 4444 overlay export with alpha channel — subtitle layers ready for compositing in Resolve, Premiere, or After Effects
• New DCI cinema resolutions: 2048×1080 (DCI 2K), 2048×858 (DCI Scope), 4096×2160 (4K DCI), 4096×1716 (4K Scope)
• New vertical resolutions for social: 1080×1920 (Vertical HD) and 2160×3840 (Vertical 4K)
• Resolution picker now always visible for ProRes and TIFF overlay exports

Color quality

• Fix: BT.709 color tags now written on all exports (ProRes 422/4444, H.264, H.265, TIFF overlay) — fixes gamma shift on Rec.709 / gamma 2.4 masters opened in Resolve, QuickTime, or Premiere
• ProRes overlays now rendered in Rec.709 color space instead of generic — colors consistent with the output tag
• Subtitle size now invariant to orientation — preview/export consistency for vertical and square formats

Interface

• Fix: welcome window now closes automatically when Sparkle shows an update
• Redesigned installer DMG: cleaner background and larger icons (128 px)

Export
